REP. CURTIS STATEMENT ON CONTINUING RESOLUTION
Washington, D.C.,
January 18, 2024
Washington, D.C. — Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 2872 - Further Additional Continuing Appropriations and Other Extensions Act, 2024. Following the vote, Representative John Curtis (R-UT) issued the following statement:
"Last November, I supported a continuing resolution to give our new Speaker the opportunity to unite the conference around a plan to rein in our out-of-control spending while responsibly keeping the government open.
I am disappointed in Congress for not coming together to solve fiscal year 2024 spending, which we are already months into. I voted no on this continuing resolution because we should stay in Washington and get our work done, not pave a path for trillions of dollars in spending that will be crafted behind closed doors."
