Washington, D.C. — Today, following the U.S. House of Representatives vote to elect Rep. Mike Johnson (LA-04) as Speaker of the House, Rep. John Curtis (UT-03) issued the following statement: 

As Rep. Mike Johnson said late last night, “Democracy is messy sometimes, but it is our system.” I am pleased to have voted for Mike as Speaker of the House. I know that as a God-fearing, humble servant, he will help us fund our government and support our allies facing unprecedented challenges abroad.
