Congressman John Curtis, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement after the historic meeting between President Trump and Kim Jong-un in Singapore.
“I applaud the President’s diplomatic effort and the many members of the Administration that have a difficult task ahead of them to chart a new path of diplomacy towards denuclearization. I look forward to receiving a more detailed briefing about what promises were made during the Singapore Summit. Congress has an important oversight responsibility in this process and, as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, I will be closely monitoring their progress.”
